Art exhibit to pay tribute to photographers who have contributed on Hollywood classic films
As award season approaches many people are focused on the faces on screen. But what about the people behind-the-scenes?
Finch & Partners, along with Jaeger-LeCoultre, are presenting KP Projects’ “The Art of Behind the Scenes” exhibit, consisting of photo series paying tribute to the on-set stills photographers and the moments they capture on set.
From February 11 – 26, the exhibit will showcase some of the most popular behind-the-scenes photographs captured on set from this past century’s most iconic films.
This is the first time that “The Art of Behind the Scenes” has traveled to Los Angeles, and also the first time the public will have the opportunity to see the exhibit. Selected by Finch & Partners, the first series of the exhibit premiered at the 2015 Cannes Film Festival for one night only at the Charles Finch Filmmakers dinner at the Hotel du Cap. Series 2 of these historic images where unveiled in Cannes May 2016 and traveled to the New York Film Festival with the show’s partners Jaeger-LeCoultre.
The full exhibit will be showcased in its entirety for the first time and be on view at KP Projects with a VIP cocktail reception on February 21. The VIP reception will welcome Ghetto Film School, an award winning non-profit organization who will receive partial proceeds from all exhibit sales that has to educated, developed, and celebrated the next generation of great American storytellers through their pre-professional and early career programs and networks, free of charge.
